Delete your account.

You can delete your OZ Ride (rider) or OZ Driver (driver) account at any time. Personal data is removed within 14 days, subject to the legal retention requirements below.

Option 1 — in the app

The fastest path

OZ Ride · Rider

From the rider app

  1. Open the app and tap the menu (☰) in the top-left.
  2. Tap Account.
  3. Scroll to the bottom and tap Delete my account.
  4. Enter the OTP code sent to your phone, then confirm.

OZ Driver · Driver

From the driver app

  1. Open the app and tap the menu (☰) in the top-left.
  2. Tap Settings → Account.
  3. Tap Delete my account.
  4. Enter the OTP code sent to your phone, then confirm.

Go Offline first. Deletion is blocked while a trip is in progress.

Option 2 — by email

If you cannot access the app

Email support@oz-ride.com from the email address on your account. Use the subject Delete my OZ Ride account and include your registered phone number in the body.

We will verify your identity by SMS and process the request within 14 days. You will receive a written confirmation once the deletion is complete.

What is removed

What gets deleted

  • Your profile and contact details (name, phone, email)
  • Driver onboarding documents (licence photos, PTD authorisation, insurance, vehicle registration)
  • Saved places, stored payment methods, and ride history visible in-app
  • Your OZ Ride account sign-in

What is retained

What we keep, and why

Australian law requires us to retain certain records even after an account is deleted. These records are held securely and accessed only when legally required:

  • Trip and fare records for 7 years — ATO and ABN obligations for GST reporting.
  • Driver authorisation and vehicle records for 7 years — Transport (Road Passenger Services) Act 2018 (WA) and ODBS 1012130 reporting.
  • Safety incident records as required — driver and rider complaints, police liaison, accessibility complaints.
  • Anonymised analytics — aggregate counts with no link back to you.
