Driver Fee Schedule

15 — Driver Fee Schedule

Effective Date: 13 September 2026 Parties: OZ Ride Pty Ltd (ABN 52 694 735 487) ("we", "us", "our") and the Driver. Governing law: Western Australia. Defined terms: Capitalised terms not defined in this document have the meaning given in 00 — Definitions.

This Schedule is incorporated by reference into clause 8 of the Driver Service Agreement and clauses 3–5 of the Payment Terms, and sets out — in one place, separate from the agreement itself — the fees that apply to Driver Earnings. We publish fees separately from the agreement so that a fee change does not require you to re-accept the whole Driver Service Agreement; a fee change is instead notified to you under clause 6 below, in the same way DiDi Australia and other platforms maintain a standalone driver fee schedule.

1. What this Schedule covers

(a) the Platform Fee (Rideshare commission); (b) the Booking Fee; (c) the Service Fee (Taxi); (d) other fees that may apply to a Trip; and (e) how we change any of the above, and how you are notified.

Where this Schedule states a rate or amount that differs from clause 8 of the Driver Service Agreement or clause 3–5 of the Payment Terms because one of them has since been updated and the other has not, this Schedule is the current source of truth for the rate itself — the agreement and the Payment Terms describe the mechanism; this Schedule states the number.

2. Platform Fee (Rideshare commission)

2.1 Rate. The Platform Fee is fourteen per cent (14%) of the Fare, GST-inclusive, calculated on the Fare exclusive of the Booking Fee. It applies only to Rideshare Trips — see clause 4 for Taxi.

2.2 Worked example, with the GST split shown.

Base + distance + time + surcharges (the Fare) $50.00
Booking Fee $1.00
──────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────
Total paid by the Rider $51.00
──────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────
Platform Fee = $50.00 × 14% $7.00
of which GST (1/11th of the Platform Fee, as the
Platform Fee is a GST-inclusive OZ Ride commission) $0.64
of which OZ Ride's net commission $6.36
Booking Fee retained by OZ Ride $1.00
──────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────
Driver Earnings = $50.00 − $7.00 $43.00

This is the same 14%/86% split described in clause 3 of the Payment Terms and clause 4.3 of the Definitions; this Schedule adds the GST breakdown so you can see how much of what OZ Ride retains is GST we account for to the ATO, rather than net revenue.

2.3 GST is charged on the fare actually payable, and a promotional discount does not change your Driver Earnings. Where a Rider's fare is reduced by a promotion, discount code, or similar rider-side incentive, OZ Ride's policy is that the Platform Fee and your Driver Earnings are calculated as if the Rider had paid the full, undiscounted Fare — OZ Ride absorbs the discount itself as an internal cost, rather than passing any part of it on to you as a lower Driver Earnings figure. In other words, a promotion is between OZ Ride and the Rider; it is not something that reduces what you are paid for the Trip. This "make-whole" treatment, and the related GST-inclusive accounting for the Platform Fee described in clause 2.2, reflect OZ Ride's fee-accounting rules.

3. Booking Fee

3.1 The Booking Fee is a flat fee shown to the Rider on the fare estimate before a Trip is requested. It is retained by OZ Ride in addition to the Platform Fee and is not deducted from Driver Earnings. See clause 4 of the Payment Terms and clause 4.4 of the Definitions for the full description; the current amount is shown in the Rider App at the time of fare estimate.

4. Service Fee (Taxi)

4.1 No Platform Fee on Taxi Trips. The 14% commission in clause 2 does not apply to Taxi Trips. You retain 100% of the metered Taxi Fare, in every case — cash, Stripe Tap-to-Pay, or a Stripe-hosted payment link.

4.2 The 5% figure — what it is, and what it is not. Where a Taxi Trip is paid by NFC tap-to-pay or a Stripe-hosted payment link (a non-cash method), OZ Ride charges the Rider a Service Fee of five per cent (5%) of the metered Fare, added on top of the metered Fare and paid by the Rider. This is OZ Ride's platform service fee on non-cash taxi payments. It is not a card surcharge and not a recovery of payment-processing costs — those are OZ Ride's own expense. It is not a commission on your work, and it is never deducted from your earnings. Cash Trips do not attract this fee.

4.3 Worked example.

Metered Fare $30.00
Service Fee = $30.00 × 5% (paid by the Rider, on top) $1.50
──────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────
Total charged to the Rider $31.50
──────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────
Driver Earnings $30.00 (100% of the metered Fare)
OZ Ride retains (Service Fee only) $1.50

4.4 Regulatory cap. Regulation 126 of the Transport (Road Passenger Services) Regulations 2020 (WA) caps at 5% what may be charged on top of a taxi fare for a non-cash payment. The Service Fee is OZ Ride's platform service fee rather than a payment-processing charge, but because it applies only to non-cash Taxi payments OZ Ride sets it at 5% so that what a Rider pays above the metered Fare never exceeds what that regulation permits, and will not raise it above that cap.

5. Other fees

5.1 Cancellation Fees, No-Show Fees, and damage/cleaning fees are Rider-side charges, not Driver-side fees — they are described in clauses 9 and 10 of the Payment Terms, including the 86%-of-fee share you receive where a Cancellation Fee is collected after you have begun travelling to pickup.

5.2 Lost-item return. Where OZ Ride facilitates the return of an item a Rider left in your Vehicle, a return fee may be charged to the Rider to compensate you for the time and cost of returning it. No amount is set at the date of this Schedule; if one is introduced it will be published in this Schedule and notified under clause 6 before it takes effect, and it will be shown to the Rider before they agree to it.

5.3 No penalty-style charges. OZ Ride does not impose a charge on you that exceeds a genuine pre-estimate of OZ Ride's loss for the conduct concerned. Where this Schedule or the Driver Service Agreement describes a fee or a set-off, it is calculated to reflect an actual cost or a genuine loss, not to punish you.

6. How fees change

6.1 OZ Ride may vary any fee in this Schedule from time to time. A variation:

(a) is approved by an authorised OZ Ride decision-maker; (b) is recorded with a future effective date before it applies to any Trip; (c) does not affect a Trip that has already been quoted (Rideshare) or is already underway (Taxi) before the new rate takes effect; (d) is notified to you at least fourteen (14) days before the new rate takes effect, by in-app message and email; and (e) is published on this page (web.oz-ride.com/legal/driver-fee-schedule) at least fourteen (14) days before the new rate takes effect.

6.2 A fee variation does not require you to re-accept the Driver Service Agreement. Your continued use of the Driver App after a fee variation takes effect is treated as your acceptance of the new fee, consistent with clause 20.1 of the Driver Service Agreement. If you do not accept a fee variation, you may stop using the Driver App and deactivate your account under clause 14.1 of the Driver Service Agreement.

6.3 Version history. Every version of this Schedule, with its effective date, is retained so you can see what applied to a given Trip. The current version and its effective date are stated at the top of this document.

7. GST and reporting

7.1 You are responsible for registering for GST and remitting GST on your Driver Earnings from the day you begin providing ride-sourcing services, regardless of your turnover — the ordinary $75,000 GST-registration threshold does not apply to ride-sourcing drivers. See clause 13 of the Payment Terms and clause 1.4 of the Driver Service Agreement.

7.2 OZ Ride reports transaction data about you to the Australian Taxation Office under the Sharing Economy Reporting Regime, as described in clause 13.5 of the Payment Terms and clause 6 of the Privacy Policy.
